Description 5-Methoxytryptophol (2-(5-Methoxy-1H-indol-3-yl)ethanol) is a pineal indoleamine derived from serotonin shown to be biologically active in a number of species.
In vitro 在MC3T3-E1细胞中,大多数5-Methoxytryptophol 浓度略微降低了成骨细胞的代谢活性。细胞培养14天后,Rankl mRNA水平下降。5-Methoxytryptophol还促进高水平的骨钙素分泌和矿化能力。在RAW264.7细胞中,5-Methoxytryptophol降低了成骨细胞的数量和活性。5-Methoxytryptophol 通过ERK磷酸化促进了ERK1/2通路的激活,而LUZ的添加则抑制了这一效应。总之,5-Methoxytryptophol 抑制了成骨细胞的生成,并促进了成骨细胞分化[3]。
