Bioactivity | Z-IETD-R110 is a fluorescent substrate of caspases. Z-IETD-R110 acts as a substrate for caspase-8. When caspase-8 is activated, it can recognize and cut Z-IETD-R110, releasing fluorophore, which can be detected by fluorescence microscopy. Z-IETD-R110 can be used to study oxidative stress-induced apoptosis, particularly in pancreatic acinar cells[1]. |
