Bioactivity | Telavancin hydrochloride is the hydrochloride form of Telavancin (HY-112959). Telavancin hydrochloride is a semisynthetic derivative of vancomycin, and exhibits antibacterial efficacy through inhibition of cell wall synthesis and disruption of cell membrane barrier function. Telavancin hydrochloride is efficient against antibiotic resistant S. aureus strains MRSA, VISA, and hVISA.
