Bioactivity Pyrazosulfuron-ethyl, one of the acetolactate synthase inhibiting herbicides in the sulphonylurea family, has been widely used to control weed growth in commercial cereal, soybean, and vegetable fields[1].
Invitro Pyrazosulfuron-ethyl inhibited biomass production in Rhodopseudomonas palustris PSB-S, altered cell morphology, suppressed flagella formation, and reduced pigment biosynthesis through significant suppression of carotenoids biosynthesis[2].
