Bioactivity Nefopam-d4 (hydrochloride) is deuterium labeled Nefopam (hydrochloride). Nefopam hydrochloride (Fenazoxine hydrochloride) is a centrally-acting but non-opioid analgesic drug, for the relief of moderate to severe pain. Nefopam hydrochloride targets β-catenin protein level in mesenchymal cells in-vitro and in-vivo[1][2].
Invitro Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs[1].
