Bioactivity | HKOCl-4 (BXY2142) is a rhodol-based yellow fluorescent probe for the detection of hypochlorous acid with excellent sensitivity and selectivity[1]. HKOCl-4 has longer absorption wavelength and better pH stability compared with fluorescein-based probes. Ex: 530 nm; Em 557 nm. Storage: protect from light. |
Target | Ex: 530 nm; Em 557 nm |
Invitro | HKOCl-4 (10 μM) shows an increasing florescence intensity with increasing concentration of hypochlorous acid[1].HKOCl-4 exhibits a ultra-fast response towards 1 equiv of HOCl (reached a plateau within 2 min) , and it shows a >20-fold increase in fluorescence intensity over other analytes (1 equiv of •OH and ONOO− as well as 10 equiv of O2, NO, 1O2, ROO•, TBHP and H2O2)[2].HKOCl-4 is first tested and it was proven to be non-toxic in living cells even at a concentration up to 50 µM in RAW264.7 macrophages[2]. |
