Bioactivity Ebastine-d5 is the deuterium labeled Ebastine. Ebastine (LAS-W 090) is an orally active, second-generation histamine H1 receptor antagonist. Ebastine can be used for the symptoms of allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria research[1][2].
Invitro Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs[1].
