Bioactivity | Cholesterol hemisuccinate Tris salt (CHS-Tris) is often used to replace cholesterol in protein crystallography, biochemical studies of proteins, and pharmacology. CHS-Tris and Lauryl Maltose Neopentyl Glycol (LMNG) or n-Dodecyl-β-D-Maltoside (DDM) are used together for the solubilization of membrane proteins while maintaining structural integrity and activity. Cholesteryl succinate also reportedly exhibits antiproliferative activity. |
