Bioactivity | Cellooctaose is an oligosaccharide, consisting of eight glucose residues. Cellooctaose is a low-cost polysaccharides in fermentation to hold on Lactococcus lactis recombinant strain growth. Cellooctaose is the substrate of beta-glucosidase (E.C. 3.2.1.21)[1][2]. |
Invitro | Cellooctaose can provide a growth platform for Lactococcus lactis recombinant strain, which constitutively secretes a β-glucosidase and an endoglucanase, and be metabolized into L-Lactic acid (LA)[1].Cellooctaose, can be generated from further hydrolyzed cellodextrins (cellotriose to cellooctaose) by β-glucosidase (0.19 μg/mL) to give glucose by sequentially splitting off glucose molecules from the oligomeric substrates and intermediates[2]. |
