Bioactivity Butyzamide is an orally active activator of Mpl, a thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor. Butyzamide increases the phosphorylation level of JAK2, STAT3, STAT5 and MAPK. Butyzamide increases the level of human platelets in mouse xenotransplantation assay[1].
