Butenafine inhibits fungal ergosterol biosynthesis at the point of squalene epoxidation, leading to a deficiency of the fungal cell membranes. Butenafine is effective against dermatophytes infections, such as ?tinea pedis, ?tinea cruris, tinea versicolor[1][2]. |
