Bioactivity Antitubercular agent-27 (compound 1) is a potent antitubercular agent with an IC50 value of 3.2 µM, an MIC value of 7.8 µM, an IC90 value of 7.0 µM. Antitubercular agent-27 shows antimycobacterial activity for resistant isolates of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv. Antitubercular agent-27 shows effective intracellular antimycobacterial activity and low cytotoxicity[1].
Invitro Antitubercular agent-27 (compound 1) shows antimycobacterial activity for resistant isolates of M. tuberculosis H37Rv with IC50s of 2.4, 100, 120, 1.3, 3.1 µM, MICs of 3.2, 140, 160, 2.4, 4.2 µM, IC90s of 3.0, 120, 142, 2.2, 3.5 µM for FQ-R1, INH-R1, INH-R2, RIF-R1, RIF-R2, respectively[1].Antitubercular agent-27 (0-200 µM) shows antibacterial activity with an MIC value of 0.80 µM, IC50 value of 0.23 µM, and IC90 value of 0.43 µM in low oxygen condition, and an MIC value of 0.45 µM, IC50 value of 0.27 µM, and IC90 value of 0.35 µM in normal oxygen condition[1].Antitubercular agent-27 (0-200 µM) shows intracellular activity with an IC50 value of 1.45 µM, and IC90 value of 1.61 µM, and low cytotoxicity with an IC50 value of >100 µM[1].
