Description RR-SRC is a peptide based on the sequence surrounding the tyrosine phosphorylation site in the Rous sarcoma virus-encoded transforming protein pp60 src. In vitro tyrosine phosphorylation of the peptide is stimulated by epidermal growth factor. Furthermore, it has also been used as a substrate to monitor the purification of the insulin receptor, a protein tyrosine kinase. RR-SRC is a substrate for src-tyrosine-specific protein kinase.
