| Description | Pyr-Trp-Gly-NH2 also called Serotonin Uptake Stimulator Peptide, is the tripeptide found in plasma, it stimulates the uptake of serotonin into platelets. Increased amounts of Pyr-Trp-Gly-NH2 can be detected in the urine of autistic children. The urinary peptide, which is generated from the CNS glycoprotein reelin, has also been associated with depression and anxiety disorders. |
